UP Gold Upper Peninsula Pendants Available

When Wattsson & Wattsson Jewelers opened in 1985, our Upper Peninsula pieces were made with gold from the Ropes Gold Mine in Ishpeming, Michigan. When the mine closed, the pieces were transitioned over to commercially available gold. We've been holding onto a few ounces of UP Gold™ for special occasions, and have decided to make five UP Gold U.P. Pendants for the 2017 holiday season. These pendants were hand crafted by Wattsson & Wattsson owner Chris Wattsson in our Marquette shop with UP Gold from the Ropes Gold Mine, and come with a certificate of authenticity. 

Upper Peninsula Gold is stamped 14k UP Gold on the back of the pendant to distinguish it from commercially available gold. 

Because of the high concentration of minerals in the Upper Peninsula, UP Gold is yellow gold with a red tint.
