Q. What are your hours?
A. We are open Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.. We are closed on Sundays. Hours vary on holidays.
Q. Do you provide jewelry cleaning?
A. Yes, we absolutely do! It’s a service we provide, free of charge. A jeweler is in Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. to complete the cleaning while you wait. If a jeweler is not in, you're welcome to leave your piece and it will be cleaned as soon as a jeweler is available.
Q. I don't see what I'm looking for on the website. Is that all the jewelry you have?
Absolutely not! Our online store accounts for 80% of the jewelry we have available in our store. If you're looking for something specific and don't see it online, give use a call or stop by the store. We'd be happy to help you find exactly what you want.
Q. I really like this ring that I saw on the website/Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest. Can I come in and look at it?
That depends. If the piece is on the website, yes! We make sure the pieces online and in store are the same. You won't find pieces on the website that we don't have. Social media can be a little trickier. We don't remove posts of piece after they have sold. If there is a link in the post, check it to see if the product is on the website. If it is, you can come in and see it. If it's not, it has sold. Stop in or give us a call and we can look in to reordering it for you.
Q. Does Wattsson and Wattsson Jewelers buy back gold and silver?
A. Yes! We have a jewelry on staff Monday - Friday, from10 a.m. - 2 p.m. who can help you sell your precious metals.
Q. Does Wattsson and Wattsson Jewelers buy diamonds?
We do not, but we do have an estate buyer who will be in store from July 31-August 2, 2023 that will be buying diamonds and other stones. If the event goes well, we will try to bring in a buyer at least anually.
Q. Do you have gold that was mined in Michigan's Upper Peninsula?
We have an extremely limited amount of UP gold. It was mined in the Upper Peninsula at the Ropes Gold Mine in Ishpeming, MI. If you are interested in having a piece made with UP gold, please give us a call at (906) 228-5775 or email email@example.com.
Q. Do you do appraisals?
A. Yes! Lacee Hartzell, our Sales Manager, is a GIA Diamonds Graduate. She completes diamond appraisals on-site at Wattsson & Wattsson Jewelers. Diamond appraisals are $50 and take approximately one week to complete. Lacee is working toward her Graduate Gemologist degree. Upon completion in 2023, she will be offering colored stone appraisals.
Q. Do you change watch batteries?
We do not sell or service watches.
Q. Can I buy a chain online?
A. Yes! Each pendant will have the option to purchase a standard chain. Click on the arrow next to the price on the product page of the pendant you would like to purchase, and you will have the option to add a chain. We also offer a standard 18 inch sterling silver, white gold, yellow gold and rose gold box chains that can be ordered without a pendant.
Q. What is the difference between the engagement ring and the wedding band?
A. The engagement ring is given first and represents a promise to commitment. The wedding band comes second and honors the commitment. When the two are worn together, the wedding band is placed closest to the heart with the engagement ring worn above it.
Q. Why solder the engagement ring and wedding band together?
By soldering the two rings together, it minimizes wear and tear on the wedding set, resulting in no rubbing and keeping the original look of the jewelry. We offer this service free of charge to customers that purchased both the rings from us within the first three months!
Q. I am looking for a titanium, cobalt or tungsten band, but don't see it on your website. Do you have it in store?
No. We only carry bands can safely be removed in the event of an emergency. These include Serinium, Gold and Silver.
Q. Do you carry silicone bands?
Yes! We've found the silicone rings fit a bit different the metal rings, so we sell them in store only.
Q. I got this piece as a gift, and it's not really my style. Can I return or exchange it?
That depends. Visit our Returns and Exchanges page for our full policy.
Q. I have a gift certificate. Can I use it online?
